Orion provide Environmental Health Expert for Channel 4 Documentary

Orion recently provided expert advice to Channel 4 television “Dispatches” series regarding the health effects of flood water contaminated with sewage.  The filming took place over 2 days in Ilfracombe, North Devon & Oxford and included the analysis of the contaminated water at the Bristol laboratory.

Dan Evans, Principal Consultant said “It was our pleasure to assist Channel 4 in making this documentary. Unfortunately, people are unaware of the health risks associated with heavily polluted water and the precautions they should take in the unfortunate event that they are subject to flooding. Hopefully our input into this documentary will heighten people’s unawareness of flood water risks and the precautions they should take”.

The dispatches episode, “Floods: Your Money Down the Drain” was aired on Channel 4 on Monday 3rd February 2014.
